Marcus King brings the Darling Blue PT2 Tour to Massey Hall in Toronto on June 18, 2026. Raised in Greenville, South Carolina, he first made noise with The Marcus King Band, shaping a sound that threads electric blues, southern rock and soul. Those early records — Soul Insight, The Marcus King Band and Carolina Confessions — mapped out a space between open-ended jams, slow-bloom soul and riff-forward rock. Under his own name, El Dorado (2020) and Young Blood (2022), produced in Nashville by Dan Auerbach, tightened the songwriting without losing the bite of the guitar, folding in shades of country and rhythm and blues.

On stage, King moves from thick, overdriven grooves to hushed, melodic passages, letting the vocal carry as much as the six-string. The show leans into that range: songs drawn across his catalog, concise hooks, space for improvisation, and the pulse of a band that plays with feel. At Massey Hall, the set pivots from soul-leaning ballads to riff-driven blues-rock, with his Southern roots anchoring the whole.
