Les Wampas

On 12 June 2026 at the Transbordeur in Villeurbanne, Les Wampas return with Où va nous?, their fifteenth album, forty years after Tutti Frutti. On stage is the lineup that has steered the band for a decade: Didier (vocals), Jean‑Michel Lejoux (bass), Nicolas Schauer (drums), Tony Truant and Effello (guitars). Expect a compact set, guitars to the fore, designed for collective impact: a knack for pithy lines, songwriting that moves from twist to punk, and choruses to sing back without hesitation.

The new tracks evoke Brittany, intersect with real or imagined figures, and include tributes to close ones. “Punk ouvrier,” re‑recorded for the occasion, joins the setlist, while the title track Où va nous? sets the tone for a chapter where doubt is quickly met by a jolt. Live, Les Wampas blend these new songs with their longtime touchstones, propelled by Didier’s sharp voice and a straight‑ahead rhythm section.
