D'Jal « En Pleine Conscience »

D’jal returns with En Pleine Conscience, a new show in which he brings to life his characters and accents, situated between stand-up and character theatre. A French comedian of Moroccan origin, discovered at the Jamel Comedy Club, he draws on everyday life to tell stories that move between family, work, working-class neighborhoods and journeys of immigration. On stage, he plays with dissonances and misunderstandings, invokes several languages, slips from French into expressions from elsewhere, and stages group scenes like small fictional vignettes.

His performance remains very physical, driven by improvisation and interaction with the audience. He strings together situations and portraits that answer one another, with a fluid and direct narrative. En Pleine Conscience extends this way of observing the world at street level, sketching the details of reality to better transform them into moments of comedy.
