MPL

MPL, short for Ma Pauvre Lucette, takes the stage at Les Abattoirs in Bourgoin-Jallieu on November 20, 2026. Formed in 2012 out of a shared story and a desire to tell tales through music, the collective moves between literary chanson, pop, rap and touches of electro. Five musicians, interweaving voices, a taste for narrative and staging that creates a singular atmosphere: on stage, MPL weaves a thread that is as much concert as it is storytelling.

The group revisits a repertoire built record by record, from the EP LU7 and the album Ma Pauvre Lucette to L’Étoile (2020) and Bonhommes (2022), up to En Montgolfière (2024), which reinterprets their songs in a more pared-down form. Expect a set where the lyrics take center stage, driven by choral arrangements, supple rhythms and images that surface. An evening to step into their hybrid universe—sensitive without sentimentality, offbeat without affectation—and follow this bunch who tell stories in music, simply and together.
