On May 6, 2026, at La Mécanique Ondulatoire, 8 passage Thiéré, 11th arrondissement, Paris, Mai Mai Mai, the audiovisual project of Italian musician and producer Toni Cutrone, presents a sonic investigation at the crossroads of Mediterranean folklore, industrial, drone, ambient and ritual electronics. For more than a decade he has explored memory, spirituality and popular traditions to shape soundscapes, pulses and repeating motifs. With Karakoz, largely conceived in Palestine during a residency between Bethlehem and Ramallah, he assembles field recordings, archives and local collaborations into a sensitive cartography of the places traversed. On stage, sound converses with archival images in a setup conceived as an extension of the musical material.
Sturle Dagsland, a Norwegian artist, blurs the boundaries between music, theatre and ritual. His voice—ranging from song to screams and employing techniques close to throat‑singing—and his stage presence trace a path that alternates tension and release, fragility and raw impact. A regular at international festivals, he joined Oranssi Pazuzu on their 2022 European tour. Here he offers a lively, fluid performance in which gestures, timbres and textures come together in a set that reconfigures as the moment unfolds.
