Queen of Reggae ETANA

On 25 April 2026 Etana will perform at De Doelen in Rotterdam. Born Shauna McKenzie in Kingston and raised in Florida, the Jamaican singer carved out her own space between reggae, soul and R&B. After a brief stint in the girl‑group project Gift she returned to Jamaica, joined the Fifth Element collective and toured with Richie Spice. Singles such as "Wrong Address" and "Roots" established her as a solo artist: a warm voice, roots rhythms, lyrics drawn from everyday life and a focus on women’s experiences.

Live, Etana moves between roots and lovers rock, between socially conscious songs and more intimate ballads. Albums like The Strong One, Free Expressions, Better Tomorrow and I Rise trace that line, while Reggae Forever and the EP project Dimensions introduced new shades and collaborations.
