Clawfinger

Clawfinger will perform on 27 October 2026 at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Stockholm‑origin rap‑metal outfit centered around Zak Tell, Bård Torstensen and Jocke Skog has, since the early 1990s, combined staccato rap vocals with angular guitar riffs, industrial‑tinged textures, samples and tight loops. With Deaf Dumb Blind (1993) the band immediately set the tone: direct language, anti‑racist positions and a frontal take on xenophobia. Use Your Brain (1995) and the self‑titled 1997 album sharpened that mix, while A Whole Lot of Nothing (2001) and Zeros & Heroes (2003) pushed the sound toward a more guitar‑driven alternative metal — a direction continued on Hate Yourself with Style (2005) and Life Will Kill You (2007).

Live, Clawfinger keep things compact and rhythmic, with a rap delivery that sits tightly on the beat and riffs that propel the songs forward. The lyrics address themes such as social tensions, religion and international politics, without beating around the bush. After announcing a hiatus in 2013 the band resumed touring in 2014 and released a digital single. In Utrecht all of that comes together in a set drawing on more than three decades of material: direct, charged and to the point.
