On 18 March 2026 Villagers of Ioannina City and My Diligence will perform at Patronaat, Haarlem. Villagers of Ioannina City come from northern Greece and carve out their own path between psychedelic rock and the ancient sounds of Epirus. Clarinet, bagpipes and flute interlock with massive guitars and pulsing grooves; the result shifts from dreamy to propulsive without losing its tension. Riza established that mix, Age of Aquarius expanded the sound even further, and live it all grows into a trance-like trip driven by repetition, dynamics and interplay. The band digs into tradition to move forward; it sounds grounded, yet expansive and spacious. On stage it’s about build-up, swell and the eruptions that follow.
Belgian My Diligence counterbalances that with tight hard-rock energy. Heavy, layered riffs, a driving rhythm section and melodies that remain sharp give their songs direction without frills. It’s compact, direct and designed to get the crowd moving. Together they create an evening where ritual and rawness find each other.
