Gavin James

On 12 November 2026, Gavin James will perform at Metropool in Enschede. The Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin builds his songs around his voice and guitar: acoustic pop with a folk touch, sparse arrangements that can effortlessly grow in a live setting. After early EPs and the intimate Live at Whelans (2014), he released the studio albums Bitter Pill (2015), Only Ticket Home (2018) and The Sweetest Part (2022). His path has led from small bars to international venues, with support shows for Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, but above all through solo performances in which he brings his songs closer to the audience.

On stage he moves between tender ballads and more pop-oriented tracks, sometimes with a hint of electronics as on “Tired,” his collaboration with Alan Walker. Expect a set that puts melody and timing at the centre, with choruses that linger and room for new versions of familiar songs. James likes to share the stories behind his songs and gives them a different colour live, without losing the heart of the tune.
