Info
Bleeker leads the bill at the Rivoli in Toronto on May 8, 2026, joined by Texas King for a night of guitar-forward rock. Formed in Orillia in the early 2000s, Bleeker started as two sets of brothers under the name Bleeker Ridge and built a reputation on hard rock riffs and alternative leanings. The band later streamlined to Bleeker, centering Taylor Perkins’ vocals and Cole Perkins’ guitars around tighter, more direct songs. From Small Town Dead and Four to Erase You, their catalog moves toward concise pop-rock structures without losing the punch of their early sound. On stage, they favor immediate hooks, compact arrangements and a driving rhythm section that keeps the focus on songs built to land live.
Opening the night, Texas King comes from London, Ontario with a mix of alternative and indie rock shaped by a classic North American guitar tradition. Fronted by singer-guitarist Jordan MacDonald, the group balances melodic riffs, a soulful vocal tone and choruses designed for the room, keeping the groove rooted in rock while folding in modern pop touches. After a self-titled EP in 2013, the album Circles in 2017 and the EP Changes in 2021, the band has refined a set that shifts between up-tempo cuts and more reflective tracks, always anchored by a clean, road-tested sound.
