Words to Resist brings together, on April 26, 2026 at the Cabaret Sauvage (Paris 19th), artists who make words and sound a way to stand firm. On stage, Ben Mohamed’s poetry opens the path—direct and unflinching—reminding us that language is as much a site of memory as it is an impulse toward the other. Azal Belkadi follows with Kabyle songs that carry stories and rhythms handed down from voice to voice. The trio Amzeri moves between Breton and Gascon repertoires, weaving songs that span time and shift one’s bearings. Then Ali Amran’s rock returns the electricity of a song that hits the mark, between taut riffs and catchy melodies.

This concert-manifesto assembles these languages and timbres without hierarchy. To speak, to sing, to make poetry becomes a concrete gesture—a way of resisting erasure, of connecting territories and generations. No frozen folklore nor hollow rhetoric: a living exchange between speech, revisited tradition and present-day energy, where each artist affirms their language as a shared space of freedom.
