The Notwist: 'News from Planet Zombie' In-store Gig + Signing

On 13 March 2026 The Notwist return to Berlin: at Rough Trade Berlin the Munich band will present their new album News from Planet Zombie live on its release day — in a concise in-store set, followed by a signing session. Having grown around Markus and Micha Acher since the late 1980s, the collective has moved from hardcore beginnings to a sound that sits between indie pop, electronics, post-rock and subtle echoes of krautrock. Albums such as Neon Golden, The Devil, You + Me and, most recently, Vertigo Days mark this development.

News from Planet Zombie picks up where these records left off while drawing its own lines: songs that balance melancholy and optimism, precisely constructed, open to friction, with a view of the world that stays close to detail yet gestures toward something larger. The record was made in Munich; a special feature: for the first time since 12 (1995) the band once again went into the studio together in their expanded live line-up. This collective recording shapes the dynamics and the detail of the new tracks.

On stage The Notwist intensify the material: guitars, electronics, beats and the fragile vocal weave together, focused and direct. Afterwards there will be time for autographs and brief conversations during the signing session.
