Info
On June 19, 2026 at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto, Arkells headline with their blend of alternative rock, pop flair and a touch of soul. Formed in Hamilton in the mid-2000s after their McMaster days, the band built its identity around Max Kerman’s voice, guitar-driven hooks and gang vocals. From Jackson Square (2008) through Michigan Left (2011) and High Noon (2014), they opened up their sound with keyboards and, later, brass arrangements on Morning Report (2016) and Rally Cry (2018). The acoustic collection Campfire Chords (2020) stripped their catalog back, before Blink Once (2021) and Blink Twice (2022) broadened the palette with collaborations alongside Tegan and Sara, Lights, Cold War Kids and Cœur de pirate. Laundry Pile (2023) returned to tighter, song‑focused writing.
Half Moon Run join from Montréal with an indie rock and folk approach built on tight vocal harmonies, electric and acoustic guitars, discreet electronics and often syncopated rhythms. After the shadowy textures of Dark Eyes (2012), the trio opened the window on Sun Leads Me On (2015), expanded arrangements on A Blemish in the Great Light (2019) and kept refining that atmospheric mix on Salt (2023).
