Metallica brings the M72 World Tour to Berlin’s Olympiastadion on 30 May 2026. Since 1981 James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo have shaped thrash and its fringes — from Kill ’Em All and Master of Puppets through the Black Album to 72 Seasons. On stage the band spans early material and new songs, playing with tempo and dynamics and relying on tension arcs, distinctive riffs and clear breaks, driven by tight rhythmic work and prominent leads.
Gojira contributes a French perspective to metal: technical death meets progressive structures and lyrics that often touch on ecological questions. From From Mars to Sirius to Fortitude the quartet has developed a signature that combines dense grooves, syncopated riffs and rough yet well-defined melodies — live, precise and focused.
Knocked Loose steer the bill toward hardcore. The Kentucky band employ abrupt time changes, dissonant guitars and Bryan Garris’s raspy shouts. Their current chapter, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, concentrates the blend of brutality and brief melodic flashes and uses breakdowns as the driving force for the pit.
