Bernard Lavilliers

Bernard Lavilliers is back on the road in 2027 and will stop in Niort on 11 March 2027 at L’Acclameur. A singer-songwriter shaped by travel and the factory work of his early years, he has been writing since the 1970s songs that tell of ports, wandering, the margins and the city. His music moves between French chanson and rock, with detours into reggae, Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms, sometimes tinged with jazz. On stage, this traveling vein is apparent: a deep voice, narrative lyrics, and open arrangements in which percussion and brass set the scene for urban and maritime atmospheres.

His repertoire spans several decades, from O gringo and État d’urgence to more recent numbers such as those on Clair-obscur. Each concert is an opportunity to revisit these pieces in new colors, mixing classics and new material without losing the thread of the stories that have shaped his writing.
