Bernard Lavilliers

Bernard Lavilliers returns to the stage on January 30, 2027 at the Zénith de Saint-Étienne. Born in Saint-Étienne, he has built since the 1970s a repertoire where French chanson meets rock, reggae, Brazilian rhythms and Caribbean colors, with occasional jazz inflections. His lyrics tell of ports, drifting, long voyages and social realities, written in a direct, visual style that favors urban and maritime atmospheres.

On stage, Lavilliers cultivates a broad, warm sound, surrounded by musicians who give depth to his arrangements. The concert moves between long-form narratives and Latin pulses, tense ballads and swaying grooves, drawing on several decades of albums, from O Gringo and État d’urgence to Carnets de bord and Clair-obscur.
