July Talk - Touch X Tour

On March 26, 2026 at The Bronson in Ottawa, July Talk bring a taut blend of alternative rock, rough-edged blues and post-punk textures. Formed in Toronto, the band is built around the vocal push-and-pull of Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay Goldstein: his gravelly baritone and her clearer tone trade verses, snap into harmonies and steer sudden shifts in mood. Behind them, guitars, bass and drums keep the arrangements lean and physical, favoring sharpened riffs, steady low-end and breaks that leave space for the voices to spark.

On stage, that contrast drives the set from murmurs to clipped shouts without losing the pulse. The show draws across their catalogue, from the immediacy of their 2012 debut and the dynamic swings of Touch, through the more spacious grooves of Pray for It, to the direct writing of Remember Never Before. The result is a dialogue that balances abrasion and tenderness, danceable tempos and slow burns, with songs built on repetition, call-and-response and tight rhythmic pivots.
