Info
On April 21, 2026 at The Bronson in Ottawa, Arm’s Length brings the There’s A Whole World North American Tour to town with The Callous Daoboys on the bill. The Ontario emo band leans into melodic pop punk and indie rock dynamics: contrast-heavy guitars, a tight rhythm section, and vocals that swing from hushed confessions to tense bursts. Emerging from late‑2010s DIY circuits, they laid the groundwork with the 2019 EP What’s Mine Is Yours, sharpened the soft‑loud pivots on Everything Nice (2021), then opened the sound up on their 2022 debut album Never Before Seen, Never Again Found. Live, it’s quick shifts in tempo, detailed guitar lines and lyrics circling family ties, anxiety and the awkward edges of growing up.
Sharing the stage, Atlanta’s The Callous Daoboys push mathcore into experimental corners. Built around vocalist Carson Pace and an expanded lineup that can fold in violin, sax or keys, they stack dissonant riffs, jagged time signatures and abrupt melodic breaks into dense, room-filling arrangements. From the early EP God Smiles Upon the Callous Daoboys to Die on Mars (2019) and Celebrity Therapist (2022), the band moves between chaotic sprints, hooky refrains and near‑cinematic interludes, with spoken‑word flashes and harsh runs sketching intimate tensions and sharp cultural snapshots.
