The Casualties with The Drowns

Born out of New York’s early 90s punk scene, The Casualties push a straight-ahead strain of street punk and hardcore shaped by the UK of the 80s. Their lyrics hit on social precarity, city violence and political tension, carried by brisk tempos, raw guitars and shout-along refrains. After a run of demos, the band marked its path with For the Punx (1997), Underground Army (1998) and Stay Out of Order (2000), then kept moving with Die Hards, On the Front Line and its Spanish version En La Linea Del Frente, Under Attack, We Are All We Have, Resistance and Chaos Sound. Since 2017, singer David Rodriguez has taken the mic, leading to Written in Blood (2018) and a live approach anchored in the New York punk circuit and its international offshoots.

The Casualties land in Victoria on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Upstairs Cabaret, joined by special guests The Drowns. On stage, the band leans on fast rhythms, unvarnished riffs and refrains built for collective chants, pulling from three decades of songs for a set that goes straight to the point.
