Mammoth

On 12 November 2026, Mammoth will play at the Metropol – Neues Schauspielhaus in Berlin. Behind the name is Wolfgang Van Halen, an American multi-instrumentalist and the son of Eddie Van Halen. He has forged his own identity: songs that sit between alternative rock, heavy riffs and clear melodies, written, recorded and produced independently. Initially performing as Mammoth WVH and now simply Mammoth, he made a personal statement with Distance. The self-titled debut includes tracks like “Don’t Back Down” and “Epiphany,” which he recorded entirely on his own — for live shows he is supported by a regular band on stage. On Mammoth II the material sounds denser and at the same time more direct, with striking choruses and a noticeably expanded sonic range. On stage, Mammoth emphasizes tight riffs, catchy hooks and a band dynamic that transfers the studio pieces into a compact live set without any ballast — not a nostalgia act, but a clear focus on his own musical signature.
