Info
On 18 February 2026, Ariel Posen brings his Future Present Tense Tour to the Lux in Hanover. The Winnipeg-based guitarist and songwriter blends roots rock, blues, folk and soul into songs where his melodic slide guitar playing sets the direction and the vocals remain intimate and clear. Initially known as the guitarist for The Bros. Landreth, he launched his solo career in the late 2010s to put voice and arrangements more at the forefront.
From his debut How Long (2019), through Headway (2021), to Reasons Why (2023), Posen spans a range from restrained ballads and atmospheric pieces to grooving tracks; he has also released the EP Mile End. Both live and in the studio he opts for a warm, detail-conscious sound in which the guitar serves the melody rather than showmanship. On stage he builds dynamic arrangements, leaves room for nuance, and keeps the focus consistently on the song.
Between tours in North America and Europe, collaborations within the roots scene, and his work as a guitar educator, Posen has developed a signature style that combines songwriting sensitivity, session experience and bandleader routine. In Hanover he will present new and older material—direct, compact and entirely song-focused.
