Alte Bekannte - Mehr! Live - Weihnachtsedition

On 5 December 2026, Alte Bekannte will bring MEHR! Live – Christmas Edition to the Stadthalle Cloppenburg in Cloppenburg. The Cologne-based a cappella quintet, formed from former members of the Wise Guys, consistently relies on five voices: melodies, close harmonies and vocal percussion shape songs that lie between pop, chanson and musical wit. The lyrics, mostly written by Daniel “Dän” Dickopf, address everyday life, relationships and societal themes—told directly, sometimes with irony, at other times more quietly and reflectively.

For this Christmas edition the band expands its regular programme with seasonal pieces and fresh arrangements. Between lively numbers and quiet ballads emerges a set that uses no instruments, placing the voice alone at the centre. Well-known songs from Wir sind da!, Das Leben ist schön and Bunte Socken meet wintry colours and new versions. Alte Bekannte remain close to pop culture, shift between humour and seriousness, and wrap their characteristic stage dialogue in a wintry guise.
