On March 12, 2026, at the Lux in Hanover, Romano — aka Roman Geike from Berlin-Köpenick — takes the stage. The singer and rapper combines German pop tradition, hip-hop and electronic influences into a clear spoken-sung style. His songs revolve around neighborhood tales, everyday observations and characters caught between prefab housing blocks and office corridors — motifs that have shaped his work since the albums Jenseits von Köpenick (2015) and Copyshop (2017). Musically, hip-hop rhythms meet schlager-like choruses and cool synth-pop tones. The aesthetic of the former GDR and the culture of Berlin’s peripheral districts form the backdrop without becoming an end in themselves.
