Gregorian - The Magical Christmas Tour 2026

On 24 November 2026, The Magical Christmas Tour 2026 by Gregorian will stop at the Theater am Marientor in Duisburg. The vocal project, formed in Germany around producer Frank Peterson, brings together classically trained male voices and renders modern pop and rock songs in the aesthetic of Gregorian chant. Since Masters of Chant (1999), the sound has been defined by dense choral harmonies, slow tempi, texts in Latin and English, as well as a restrained rhythm section and orchestral tones. Onstage this yields a sonic picture that sits between sacred space and contemporary atmosphere.

For the Christmas-themed tour, Gregorian consistently apply their principle: familiar melodies are transformed into choral arrangements, solo and ensemble passages alternate, and acoustics and the performance space are deliberately brought into play. The lineup has been refreshed over the years but remains unified in expression under Peterson’s artistic direction. The programme combines pop culture, ecclesiastical tradition and cinematic overtones – in Duisburg, at the Theater am Marientor, on 24 November 2026.
