Zak Abel - on tour

Zak Abel comes to Yuca in Cologne on April 27, 2026. The London‑raised singer and songwriter of Moroccan‑British heritage has represented a pop‑soul crossover since the mid‑2010s, built on a distinctive voice, clear melodies and catchy hooks. He first left traces online before releasing the collaborative EP Joker Presents: Zak Abel with producer Joker in 2014, which made him visible in British grime and bass circles. In 2015 he followed up with One Hand on the Future, and in 2017 he released his debut album Only When We’re Naked, which showed a more personal touch.

At the same time, features on house and dance productions shaped his trajectory, including collaborations with Gorgon City and Kygo—partnerships that regularly brought him to club and festival stages across Europe. Musically, Zak Abel remains within a contemporary pop framework that blends soul, pop and subtle R&B nuances: lots of space for voice and harmonies, with tempos mostly mid to uptempo. His 2023 album Love Over Fear continues this thread. Live in Cologne he will combine new tracks and earlier songs into a set that balances heartfelt moments with rhythmic drive—close to the voice, close to the songs, with a clear sense for melody and groove.
