Romano - Live 2026

Romano brings his Köpenick cosmos to Hamburg: on 10 March 2026 he will be on stage at the Knust. The Berlin rapper and singer blends poppy hooks, hip‑hop rhythms and electronic edges — a sound that plays with the aesthetics of the former GDR while remaining rooted in the everyday life of Berlin’s suburbs. Since the mid‑2010s he has been releasing songs and videos as Romano, in which neighborhood stories, precise everyday observations and idiosyncratic character portraits come together.

With Jenseits von Köpenick (2015) he staked out his terrain: tales set between panel buildings, the local late‑night shop (Späti) and the lakeshore, carried by a mix of spoken delivery and sung refrains. Copyshop (2017) brings the working world — offices and standardized spaces — into focus, its form even more sharply defined by his precisely articulated, often spoken‑sung flow. Live, Romano deliberately works with contrasts — between appearance, popular references and an audience that follows these ruptures. At the Knust, his blend of rap, hints of schlager and synth‑pop meets a compact club energy that pushes the lyrics and melodies straight to the fore.
