Anubhav Singh Bassi « Kisi Ko Batana Mat »

Anubhav Singh Bassi brings his new stand-up set, Kisi Ko Batana Mat, to the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg on June 4, 2026. The language of the performance will be Hindi. After Bas Kar Bassi, he returns with fresh material and the same relaxed, conversational delivery that made his stories travel far beyond the clubs where he started.

Born in Meerut and first trained in law, Bassi found his voice on Hindi open mic stages in the mid-2010s. Since then, he has built a following with long-form, autobiographical storytelling that lingers on student life, small-town friendships, misfires at work and the everyday rhythm of India’s middle class. More storyteller than one-liner merchant, he lets digressions breathe and pulls humor from detail, timing and recognition rather than punchline sprints.

On screen, he appeared in the 2023 Bollywood film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, while on tour he has taken his one-man shows from large Indian venues to diaspora audiences abroad. In Winnipeg, he rolls out a new batch of stories and observations, in Hindi, keeping his intimate tone and unhurried pace for a room ready to lean in.
