On April 26, 2026, Grey Eagle, 3777 Grey Eagle Drive, Calgary, hosts Lorna Shore with Paleface Swiss and Signs of the Swarm for a night rooted in modern extreme metal.
Lorna Shore, formed in New Jersey in 2009, pushes deathcore toward symphonic and blackened textures. From early EPs to Psalms and Flesh Coffin, the band built a dense, technical sound. The arrival of vocalist Will Ramos sharpened a turn toward longer, narrative tracks on …And I Return to Nothingness and Pain Remains, where orchestral layers, rapid blasts and wide breakdowns shape a cinematic approach on stage.
From Zurich, Paleface Swiss carries the slamming beatdown flag with a straightforward, physical writing style. Fear & Dagger (2022) marked a step up in visibility and set the tone: direct rhythms, heavy drops and a tight, no-frills identity honed across European tours.
Pittsburgh outfit Signs of the Swarm sits on the most abrasive edge of American deathcore. Led by drummer and composer Bobby Crow, the group blends brutal death, deep gutturals, stark tempo changes and downtempo sections. After Senseless Order and The Disfigurement of Existence, the albums Vital Deprivation, Absolvere and Amongst the Low & Empty added dynamic range without losing that dark, crushing pulse.
