Info
On June 24, 2026, Godsmack brings The Rise of Rock World Tour to RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto. Formed in Massachusetts in 1995, the quartet led by singer and rhythm guitarist Sully Erna blends hard rock, alternative metal and post‑grunge. The self‑titled debut (1998) laid out heavy riffs and a percussive drive, followed by Awake (2000) and Faceless (2003). With IV (2006) and The Oracle (2010), the band pushed a harder rock grain, then opened to more melodic contours on 1000hp (2014), When Legends Rise (2018) and Lighting Up the Sky (2023). On stage, it’s about dense guitars, tight rhythms and direct vocals, without frills.
Stone Temple Pilots are on board as special guests. Born in San Diego at the turn of the 90s, they first matched the grunge era with Core (1992), then widened the frame on Purple (1994) and Tiny Music (1996). Now with Jeff Gutt on vocals, the band moves from tough riffs to darker ballads and acoustic shades. Opening the night, Dorothy, the Los Angeles project led by Dorothy Martin, cuts between hard rock and blues rock, from ROCKISDEAD (2016) to 28 Days in the Valley (2018) and Gifts from the Holy Ghost (2022), carried by gritty vocals and straight‑to‑the‑point songwriting.
