Maisie Peters: Before The Bloom

Maisie Peters brings Before The Bloom to Théâtre Beanfield in Montreal on April 17, 2026. The English singer-songwriter first emerged as a teenager on YouTube before self-releasing early singles and moving on to the EPs Dressed Too Nice for a Jacket (2018) and It’s Your Bed Babe, It’s Your Funeral (2019). Her writing leans on acoustic guitar, clear pop melodies and diary-like storytelling about friendship, breakups and coming of age, with an eye for everyday detail.

In 2021, Peters joined Gingerbread Man Records to release her debut album You Signed Up for This, pushing further into pop while keeping an intimate songwriting core. The Good Witch followed in 2023, broadening the arrangements and threading a breakup narrative through the record. Alongside touring and headline shows, she also composed songs for the Apple TV+ series Trying.

On stage, Peters shifts between tender folk-pop and more direct pop cuts, drawing from her early EPs through You Signed Up for This and The Good Witch, with Before The Bloom hinting at new pages in her songbook.
