Gauvain Sers

Gauvain Sers returns to the stage with Boulevard de l’enfance, a fourth album conceived after a necessary hiatus. Between Paris and the Creuse, between the intimate and the political, his new songs extend the thread he has followed since his debut: everyday stories where understated humour, tenderness and a social gaze intersect. Having become a father, he has allowed other questions and new light in, and signs texts that question society as much as they summon memories and familiar landscapes.

Spotted as the opening act for Renaud, and the author of “Pourvu,” “Les oubliés” and “Ta place dans ce monde,” Gauvain Sers has established a direct, rooted songwriting style that delights in cafés, roads and faces. On stage, he blends his emblematic songs with his new compositions, in a restrained format that puts voice and words front and centre.
