The Last Internationale

The Last Internationale, a New York duo formed by singer-bassist Delila Paz and guitarist Edgey Pires, will play at the Splendid in Lille on May 3, 2026. Born out of New York’s activist scene, the band has shaped a rock sound at the intersection of blues, folk and the harder echoes of the 1970s, with lyrics nourished by social struggles. In 2014 they released their debut album, We Will Reign, featuring Brad Wilk on drums and produced by Brendan O’Brien; they later returned to an independent path and released Soul on Fire in 2019.

On stage, The Last Internationale perform as a trio, the duo regularly reinforced by a drummer. Delila Paz’s voice and bass anchor the melodies, while Edgey Pires’s guitar provides the electric thread—between blues riffs, folk ballads and choruses tinged with soul. The repertoire remains shaped by working-class memory and questions of social justice, carried with a direct energy designed for club settings.
