The Barr Brothers bring their expansive folk to Le Club Dix30 in Brossard on May 16, 2026. Built around brothers Brad and Andrew Barr, the Montreal-based band crafts songs where fingerpicked guitar, textured drums and subtle drones share space with the harp that marked their early records. Their self-titled debut sketched a dreamy folk with blues undertones; Sleeping Operator widened the palette with polyrhythms, percussion with West African echoes and spacious arrangements; Queens of the Breakers leaned into melody and riffs while keeping an organic feel. On stage, the group draws long arcs, slipping from quiet storytelling into rhythmic swells and back to intimate detail, with attention to dynamics and breath. The set connects their catalogue without nostalgia, open to detours and slow burns, anchored by Brad’s guitar and voice and by Andrew’s nuanced drumming.
