Armand Hammer

Armand Hammer is the New York duo of billy woods and ELUCID, shaped in the independent rap scene of the early 2010s around an experimental, narrative-driven approach. On October 8, 2026, they bring that craft to Lee’s Palace, 529 Bloor Street West, Toronto, Canada.

Across Race Music (2013) and Furtive Movements (2014), the pair set a blueprint of dense writing, fragmented structures and production that resists straight lines. Rome (2017) and Paraffin (2018) pushed the dialogue between their voices further, often slightly out of sync, threading references to history, class and urban memory through shifting rhythms. Shrines (2020) opened the sonic field; Haram (2021), produced with The Alchemist, framed their abstract style in more cinematic textures while keeping its introspective undertow. With We Buy Diabetic Test Strips (2023), Armand Hammer extended this collage method, weaving day-to-day detail, political angles and flashes of surreal imagery. On stage, the back-and-forth between the two emcees anchors the set in that same tension between story, texture and flow.
