Sam Roberts Band

Led by singer and guitarist Sam Roberts, Sam Roberts Band carries a Montreal rock identity built on melodic songwriting, taut guitars and lyrics that look inward without losing momentum. The project broke through in the early 2000s with The Inhuman Condition EP and debut album We Were Born in a Flame, laying down a blend of indie bite and classic North American rock. Chemical City and Love at the End of the World followed, before the shift to a fully collective approach with Collider, marking a stable core and arrangements that give more room to keys and subtle psych touches, with rhythms lightly shaded by pop. Lo-Fantasy, TerraForm, All of Us and The Adventures of Ben Blank continue that line, keeping the focus on solid hooks and a live-ready pulse.
