Slow Crush brings its Belgian take on shoegaze to Vancouver on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at The Pearl, 881 Granville Street. Led by singer and bassist Isa Holliday, the quartet leans into saturated, misty guitars, clear melodic lines and a soft voice bathed in reverb. Since the debut EP Ease (2017) and the album Aurora (2018), the band has refined a sound that sits between dream pop haze, grunge residue and post-rock heft, touring across Europe and North America along the way. Their 2021 album Hush pushes the contrast further, balancing dense textures with stripped melodies, slow-to-mid tempos and a rhythmic weight that favors immersion. On stage, Slow Crush builds atmosphere through repetition and tone, letting the songs bloom gradually rather than rush to the point, with a melancholic pull that stays with you after the last note. Special guests Spite House and She’s Green open the night, setting the room before Slow Crush takes over at The Pearl in Vancouver, BC.
