April Wine joins Triumph: The Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded Tour with a catalog that maps the sound of Canadian rock. Formed in Halifax in 1969 before settling in Montreal, the band shaped a blend of melodic hard rock and radio-friendly hooks, carried by harmonized guitars and tight, driving riffs. Through the 70s and early 80s came albums like Electric Jewels, Stand Back, First Glance and The Nature of the Beast, and tracks that stuck in the culture: I Like to Rock, Sign of the Gypsy Queen, Just Between You and Me. On stage, that mix of punch and melody stays at the core of their identity.
