glaive hits Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on January 21, 2026. Born Ash Gutierrez in 2005, the North Carolina artist emerged with the early-2020s hyperpop wave, blending fast, melodic electronic pop with emo, rap and bedroom pop influences. He started uploading tracks on SoundCloud during lockdowns, rooted in digicore communities, and shaped a style built on processed vocals, direct hooks and lyrics about adolescence, solitude and social ties.

The first EP cypress grove (2020) set the frame, followed by all dogs go to heaven (2021) and the collaborative then i’ll be happy with ericdoa. In 2022 he pushed on with old dog, new tricks and the EP minnesota is a place that exists, before his debut album in 2023, i care so much that i dont care at all, bridging alt-pop and electronic production while shifting from virtual scenes to club and hall tours. At Danforth Music Hall, 147 Danforth Avenue, that journey comes to the stage with a set drawing across those releases.
