French singer and songwriter Thomas Fersen has been shaping narrative songs since the early 1990s. Born in Paris in 1963, he learned guitar young, spent time in Norway and Central America after military service, and released a first single in 1988. His debut album, Le Bal des oiseaux (1993), marked the start of a catalog where storytelling meets folk, pop and a touch of cabaret. The following year he received a Victoire de la Musique. He has since toured widely in Europe and Canada and also published books, extending his taste for characters and detail. In 2013 he explored a new band dynamic with Thomas Fersen & The Ginger Accident.
