Charley Crockett brings to Montréal the blend he’s shaped between Texas and Louisiana: country that leans into blues, rhythm and blues and Americana, with a taste for honky tonk shuffles and slow-burn ballads. Raised between San Benito and Dallas, he learned his craft busking and playing small rooms, a background that still grounds his live shows.
Since his debut A Stolen Jewel in 2015, he’s kept a steady pace, alternating original songs with reimagined standards: In the Night (2016), Lil G.L.’s Honky Tonk Jubilee (2017), Lonesome as a Shadow (2018), The Valley (2019), Welcome to Hard Times (2020), then the tribute 10 for Slim: Charley Crockett Sings James Hand and Music City USA (2021). The Man from Waco (2022) cemented his place on today’s country circuit, followed by Live from the Ryman (2023), testimony to a band built for the stage.
Warm baritone, twangy guitar, pedal steel and a tight rhythm section set the tone for two-step stompers and late-night croons. He plays MTELUS in Montréal on March 6, 2026.
