Marina Satti « Pop Tour »

Greek singer, composer and arranger Marina Satti brings her Pop Tour to The Mod Club (722 College Street, Toronto) on May 17, 2026. Born in Athens and raised in Crete, she draws a line between Mediterranean roots and today’s urban sound. Trained in classical voice and jazz at the Athens Conservatory before studying composition and arranging at Berklee in Boston, she shapes songs that thread regional Greek scales, Balkan inflections and Middle Eastern rhythms with pop, R&B and electronic textures.

Her early singles Prosopa and Ena Kalokairi set the tone, followed by Koupes and Mantissa, where layered vocals and Greek lyrics take center stage. She also founded the female vocal ensemble Fones and the choir Chores, expanding her work around choral writing and reimagined tradition. Her debut album YENNA (2022) crystallizes this hybrid approach, and in 2024 she carried it further with the Eurovision entry Zari for Greece. On stage, Marina Satti assembles intricate vocal polyphony over beats and synths, moving between folk memory and contemporary pop with a direct, melodic touch.
