On 20 April 2026, the Spirit of 66 Verviers welcomes Martin Barre and his band. The British guitarist, a long-time collaborator of Jethro Tull, helped shape a crucial part of the band's sound on albums such as Aqualung, Thick as a Brick and Songs from the Wood. At the same time he has forged a solid solo career, spanning blues rock, progressive rock and acoustic detours, with a precise, melodic style always in service of the songs.

On stage Martin Barre revisits the Jethro Tull catalogue without pastiche, rearranging it for his current lineup and blending those classics with tracks from his latest records. The guitars oscillate between vintage textures and more contemporary colours, supported by a tight rhythm section and vocals that leave space for instrumental passages. The overall performance tells the story of a musician rather than a lesson in nostalgia, reconnecting the riffs, breaths and subtleties that became his signature.

An event that will appeal as much to devoted Jethro Tull fans as to the curious, offering a close-up chance to hear a craftsman of British rock and his band in fine form.
