Dany Boon returns to where it all began: the stage. After seven years away, the comedian takes up the mic again with a new one-man show, "Being a Clown Is Not a Profession." The title opens the door to his favorite terrain: childhood, the stubborn desire to make people laugh, and that curious profession that sometimes resembles a tightrope act. He unfolds his obsessions, his accents, his slightly offbeat characters, and turns everyday details into moments that hit the mark. Between intimate confessions and observations of the world as it is, he rediscovers the rhythm of stand-up, the interplay with the audience and a direct, unvarnished voice.
This new chapter is written in Bordeaux, at the Théâtre Fémina Bordeaux on 12 February 2027. There we find Dany Boon solo, close to the public, in a pared-down format that suits him well: a stage, a microphone, and an intact desire to share that simple pleasure—making people laugh and telling stories.
