Dany Boon returns to the stage with Clown n’est pas un métier on April 1, 2027, at the Zénith de Lille. After seven years away from performing, the French comedian reunites with his city and his audience in a new one-man show that explores his favourite subjects: family, everyday habits, the North, and the misunderstandings that give rise to absurd situations. He examines what it means "to play the clown" when you grew up wanting to make people laugh, weaving together childhood memories, behind-the-scenes moments, and quick, vivid character sketches. The show features his characters with their lingering regional accents, dialogues that take unexpected turns, and rhythmic writing crafted for the spoken word. Dany Boon alternates storytelling and sketches, plays on incongruity, and adopts the direct tone that is his signature.
