Info

On March 6, 2026, Sam Sauvage takes the stage at L’Echonova in Saint-Avé. A self-taught singer-songwriter, he plugged in his first guitar as a teenager after finding a Bob Dylan live performance on YouTube. Since then he has been carving his own path without allowing himself to be confined, nourished by Bashung and other detours. On stage, his deep voice immediately establishes a mood that sits between confession and tension, while his slightly ungainly gestures can call to mind the Talking Heads. He likes to observe people, especially those who move sideways: outsiders, night owls, lost dreamers—characters who populate his lyrics with a raw and direct poetry.

His song Les Gens Qui Dansent (j’adore) sums up his approach well: a measured spoken-word delivery, a nonchalance that hooks you, an almost mechanical swing set against a western guitar, and a tenderness threaded with discreet melancholy. Sam Sauvage takes stock of behaviors, flaws, and impulses without overstating them, with a fondness for the details that linger. In Saint-Avé, he is discovered up close to his songs, with a precise stage presence and a way with words that structures the set.
