Olivier de Benoist presents Le droit au bonheur, a show in which the French comedian tackles his favorite territory: family life. He starts from a simple observation: seeking serenity with one’s loved ones is not always a walk in the park. Between couple life, children, attempts at relaxation and a move to the countryside, ODB unfolds the story of a father who is sometimes overwhelmed and who, with his characteristic sense of irony, imagines a thousand ways to slip away without causing a fuss. The familiar excuse of going out for a cigarette is never far off, serving as a pretext for a series of concrete scenes and asides in which he lays out his method: recognize your limits, sidestep conflicts and keep a little space for yourself.

With direct language and a keen sense of rhythm, he strings together situations, dialogues and confessions that ring true. On December 17, 2026 at the Théâtre Sébastopol in Lille, ODB comes to share this clear-eyed, teasing view of coupledom and fatherhood, between confidences, well-intentioned bad ideas and a deliberate urge to make a break for it.
