Olivier de Benoist « Le droit au bonheur »

On 21 November 2026, Olivier de Benoist arrives at Le Tigre in Margny-lès-Compiègne with his show Le droit au bonheur (The Right to Happiness). A French comedian, he starts from a simple observation: in searching for happiness he mostly found a family — and therefore an inexhaustible source of material. Marriage, children, compromises and small acts of cowardice: he examines them all with his offbeat sense of humour and a deliberately disingenuous stance. Between drawing-room anecdotes, nights that are too short, evening homework and lofty principles that waver, he turns situations inside out to pose a very concrete question: how do you remain yourself when you live with others? Co-written with Paul‑Marie Debrie and Jérôme Daran, this solo show toys with logic, upends a few certainties and explores our obsessions with bliss without taking itself seriously. A plunge into domestic life in which he sets out his rule of the game: love without losing yourself, live together without suffocating. Duration: 90 minutes.
