Requin Chagrin

Requin Chagrin is the alias of Marion Brunetto, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. At the helm from the start, she writes solo and surrounds herself on stage with a band that has a flexible line-up. Her dreamy pop blends shoegaze, surf and new wave, with reverb-soaked guitars and a lo-fi sensibility that paints a landscape both clear and misty.

At the heart of the fourth album, Décollage, is one question: how to reinvent without getting lost. Marion opens the door to brighter, more new-wave-leaning impulses, introduces synths and drum machines, while keeping her bedroom-pop DNA and a garage energy. To fuel this shift she follows her instinct, leaves the city, gets some air, moves — and takes off.

Parachute, the lead single, sets the tone: electronic pulses, streaking guitars and direct songwriting. It conveys a desire for freedom, a way to lighten the weight without erasing the melancholy that has threaded the project since its beginnings.

Requin Chagrin will present Décollage and its new tracks at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris on 6 May 2026, accompanied by her musicians, with a live show designed to let these textures breathe between synth washes, veiled backing vocals and riffs that roll out toward the horizon.
