Jeremy Hababou

On 8 November 2026, at La Maison du Peuple in Belfort, Jeremy Hababou sets down his piano and unfolds his world between jazz, classical music and influences from the East. An Israeli pianist and composer, he moves between styles with a calm ease, weaving themes that sound like travel journals, between personal memories and more abstract impressions.

On stage, Jeremy Hababou constructs his pieces like stories that answer one another. Jazz harmonies meet the discipline of classical music, Oriental motifs surface in the course of an improvisation, and the whole retains a very direct, almost conversational tone. It feels like witnessing a continuous dialogue between the pianist and his instrument, where every reprise of a theme, every silence, serves to sharpen the narrative.

This concert in Belfort is an opportunity to discover a pianistic language that relies as much on mood as on melody. Without unnecessary effects, Jeremy develops his pieces through small touches, gives motifs time to settle, then gently upends them to open other paths.
