On 21 April 2026 at La Station — Gare des Mines, Paris, Claire Rousay presents A little death, her project released on 31 October 2025. A Canadian-American experimental musician, she develops an attentive practice in which every gesture matters. In concert, A little death is arranged in fragments that settle and slowly transform, with pared-down motifs and subtle textures. Rousay assembles recorded sounds, acoustic and electronic elements into a flexible weave that leaves room for breath and silence. Far from a frontal format, her music privileges close listening, micro-variations and the details that surface. This set emphasizes sonic material as much as its spatial placement, creating an open form that lets the pieces evolve over the course of the moment. A little death thus reveals itself as a sequence of sound tableaux, between presence and withdrawal, carried by precise writing and a deliberate economy of means.
